This journal is managed by the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM). <p><em>This study aims to explore the role and interrelationship between epistemology and phenomenology within the framework of the philosophy of science, particularly in the context of education. Epistemology, as a branch of philosophy that addresses the nature, sources, structure, and validity of knowledge, provides a theoretical foundation for understanding scientific thinking and knowledge construction. Meanwhile, phenomenology emphasizes direct experience and subjective consciousness as a means of understanding reality—an essential aspect for deeply comprehending individual learning experiences in educational practice. Although differing in approach—epistemology being analytical and normative, while phenomenology is descriptive and intuitive—both complement each other in offering a comprehensive perspective on the dynamics of scientific knowledge. The integration of epistemology and phenomenology in the philosophy of science opens space for a more holistic understanding, where the objectivity of scientific knowledge is enriched by the subjective meaning derived from human experience. This approach is highly relevant in contemporary education, as it bridges the gap between theory and practice, between structured knowledge and personal learning experiences. <p><em>This study aims to examine the character education values </em><em></em><em>contained in the lyrics of the song Laskar Pelangi by the music group Nidji. This song is inspired by the novel Laskar Pelangi by Andrea Hirata, which tells the story of children in Belitung's struggle to pursue education amidst limitations. This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research method, namely by examining various written sources such as character education theories, learning media concepts, and relevant previous research results. The results of the study indicate that the lyrics of the song Laskar Pelangi contain various character education values, including religious values, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, independence, and national spirit. These values </em><em></em><em>are depicted through the moral messages in each verse of the song that emphasize the importance of having ideals, working hard, being grateful, and respecting others. This song not only functions as a means of entertainment, but can also be used as a character learning medium that is educational, fun, and able to foster positive motivation in students. <p><em>The development of artificial intelligence (AI) has brought significant disruption in the education ecosystem, particularly in the context of classroom management and interactive learning dynamics. This study aims to analyze the convergence between AI-based technological capabilities and humanism principles in reconfiguring digital classrooms, with a focus on achieving optimal balance. Through a systematic literature study method with a qualitative approach, this study critically examines journal articles, scientific publications, and current reports published in the period 2019–2024. The research findings reveal that AI integration—through adaptive platforms, learning analytics, and intelligent classroom management systems—offers strategic advantages in content personalization, real-time formative assessment, and automation of administrative tasks, which in turn improves the efficiency of instructional processes. However, the analysis also shows that an over-the-top approach to technocratic aspects has the potential to obscure the socio-affective and ethical dimensions in education. In the assessment of the values of humanism, which in the Indonesian context is enriched with the philosophy of character education and Islamic values, is crucial. Humanism serves as a foundation for nurturing empathy, creativity, critical thinking, and authentic social-emotional interactions between educators and learners. Thus, this study concludes that the future of sustainable and effective classroom management does not lie in the dichotomy between technology and humanities, but in a synergistic integration model. This model emphasizes symbiotic collaboration where AI serves as a sophisticated technical enabler, while educators play a central role as facilitators, mentors, and guardians of human values. The proposed policy recommendations are the need to develop operational frameworks and ethical guidelines for AI integration that are aligned with the holistic national education goals, as well as improving digital and pedagogic-reflective literacy competencies for educators.</em></p>Siti Nurmarifah
