Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Maaliyah: Journal of Islamic Economic Law and Islamic Finance, only accepts papers written in English. Guidelines for the submission process as journal requirements can be seen as follows:

  1. The author submits the paper by customizing the Maaliyah template.
  2. The submitted paper must not have been previously published or under consideration in another journal.
  3. Papers must be submitted in Microsoft word format (doc.).
  4. References or bibliography must follow the American Psychological Association 7th edition and use a reference manager such as Zotero, or Mendeley.

 

Home Style of Maaliyah: Journal of Islamic Economic Law and Islamic Finance

  1. Manuscripts are authentic research results that have never been published in other publications or publishers.
  2. The text does not contain plagiarism (maximum tolerance 25%). The editorial board will reject any text that exceeds the maximum plagiarism tolerance limit.
  3. Manuscripts that have been written according to the guidelines of the Codification: Journal of Islamic Research, (in MS Word format, according to the article template) must be submitted through the Online Submission System using the Open Journal System (OJS).
  4. Manuscripts that do not match the Maaliyah: Journal of Islamic Economic Law and Islamic Finance template will be returned to the author before the review process.
  5. Manuscripts can be written in English in the academic standard language.
  6. Manuscripts should consist of 5000 to 8000 words including pictures and tables.
  7. Manuscript using font – Times New Roman, Font size customized as Article template. 
  8. Tables and figures are placed in the text group after the referenced table or figure. Each image must be labeled (Image Information) below the image. Each table must be given a table title (Table Description) and numbered in Arabic numbering format above the table followed by the table title.
  9. Images must be guaranteed to print properly (font size, resolution, and line spacing are clearly visible).
  10. All citations in the article use bodynote references. (references must follow the style of the American Psychological Association 7th edition).
